Leading in Times of
Change & Transition

Focusing on the human elements of change and transition

Leading organizational change is an exceedingly broad topic. And while there are countless books, strategy consultants, and executive training workshops dedicated to this subject, few address the critical work of how leaders in real settings, with real people, navigate through the very complex and difficult times of transition.

Many organizations address the structure and mechanics of change, yet they often overlook the human elements of transition – grieving, letting go, building hope, and learning. In this workshop, participants will experience the “people” side of navigating significant organization change and gain understanding of a framework of the issues and competencies that contribute to effective leadership during times of transition.

Succession Planning for a Sustainable Future

Harnessing the power of transitions to transform organizations

Delivered in partnership with Raffa, Marcum’s Nonprofit and Social Sector Group

Change – sometimes surprisingly fast change – remains the one constant we can count on. Despite this, many organizations fail to prepare for the most predictable change of all: the departure of their executive or other key leaders.

While succession planning may sound like a daunting task, there’s good news: you can complete the basics – an emergency backup plan and a board-adopted succession policy – in one to three months. This workshop provides participants with a blueprint to get started and gives an overview of systems and strategy to create a more “leaderful” culture in your organization – one focused on developing and maximizing your most valuable asset: your human capital.

Navigating Your Life with Intention

Knowing yourself and charting your path on your terms

Do you ever sit back and wonder how people “know when?” When to make a career change … when to retire … when to pursue an opportunity that calls to you? How do you tune in to your inner spirit and voice in order to know? It requires a lot of courage to slow down, get still, pay attention, and ultimately trust your inner knowing to guide your life and career with intention.

This program explores these questions and more, including what some may consider the “softer side.” I believe this whole-hearted approach is the fundamental core to knowing yourself and charting your course on your terms, placing you squarely in the driver’s seat.

Managing It All

Discover tips for a workable approach to life and greater well-being

Leaders are constantly juggling multiple priorities at work and home. We have more options than ever before in how we work, when we work, and where we work – but rather than resulting in higher productivity, we often feel drained and struggle to keep up.
In this program, we’ll utilize a self-assessment (the WorkLife Indicator) to discuss a framework and approach to managing your full life. With these results and other rich content, participants learn strategies to lower stress and aid personal productivity and sustainability.

Building Resilience

How to restore and thrive in times of change

In times of change, uncertainty, and even crisis, nothing is more important than our ability not only to survive change, but also to learn, grow, and thrive in it. This session is an opportunity to focus on you as a leader, how you handle stress, change, setbacks, and unrest, and manage and restore yourself through it all. How do you flourish in a current of constant and complex change? By building skills in resiliency, by broadening perspectives and competencies so that organization, personal, and career changes can be absorbed and contribute to your leadership development.

The good news is that resiliency can be developed. It’s possible to change your views, habits, and responses by modifying your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Key to it all is developing self-awareness, utilizing your networks, reflection, among others. Participants will learn about these and much more as we explore this topic together.

Defining Your Personal Leadership Brand

Whether you’ve defined your
leadership brand or not, you have one

Your brand conveys your identity and distinctiveness – it reveals who you are and what sets you apart. In an optimal state, your brand reflects what matters most, the values you stand for, the offerings or promises you consistently deliver, and how you deliver them. Your brand also differentiates you from other leaders based on your own unique value. In this session, we’ll explore: Who are you as a brand? What does your brand promise and deliver? What do you offer as a leader that is unique? How does your brand align with your values and vision?

Mapping Your Life
Journey and Examining
Defining Moments

Explore how your lived experiences
both shape and reveal who you are

Do you ever stop and wonder “Who am I…really?” and “How did I get here?” This reflection is rare in our fast paced, busy world…but oh, so important! Our lives can have us living on auto pilot, moving through and reacting to events and circumstances rather than paying attention and deeply “being with” our life journey and defining moments. If we slow down enough to pause and notice, it can bring greater awareness and understanding.

This program uses a creative life journey mapping experiential to have you reflect on defining moments over your life and the impact they’ve had on you and how you see the world.

Interested in Discussing a Program?

“Jeanie facilitated the Women’s Leadership Experience where I was a participant. This program was transformational for me, helping me address and move beyond the grip of key challenges I was dealing with, namely the Imposter Syndrome. Jeanie was beautifully vulnerable with us about her own experiences, and it gave me permission to live and speak more authentically about who I am and what I bring. It’s had a profound impact on my life and on the people around me. To see a smart, accomplished, engaging, confident woman like her be so honest and open helped me address limiting thoughts and beliefs of how I had been treating myself – out of fear of owning who I really am.”
